The Technology Cafe :: Technology News and Reviews Daily

The Technology Cafe is a new kind of social news and reviews platform which has many objectives in mind. These being from educating the youth and others about the latest happenings in the technology industry. We try to bring you news round the clock, but what we also try to do is try to bring you news that makes an IMPACT just not go through your eye’s.

Besides that the technology cafe aims to channel the bridge between students and the technology industry with its RF(Research Freelancer) platform, bring a collaboration within these two worlds, thus promoting entrepreneurship and evangelism.

We also aim to manage tech events and thus unite many people from all over to gather and muster to our main motto, that is:

“UNITE WITH TECHNOLOGY TO MAKE LIVES BETTER”.

The Team

Samir (A.K.A. Sam) : A technology enthusiast, entrepreneur and a music lover, who loves to talk, walk, eat and sleep about technology and how it could change lives. He is a graduate of FAST-KHI  and loves to do public speaking and building liaisons. An optimal BDM (Business Development Manager ) as we call him here. He founded the technology Cafe on July 11 2007, and has been an active member of many tech events around the globe such as the Microsoft Imagine Cup, Intel Arabia Entrepreneurship Challenge, TechCrunch 50 etc.

He has a vast experience of working at many companies like IBM Pakistan, Binary Vibes, Ten Pearls LLC, TRG Pakistan, I-Smith etc, from an intern to a project manager.

Nadia Aleem: NIDO as we call her over here, is a huge Tech Geek Gal, loves to do programming and get involved socially with everybody. A person with such character is seldom found, who is a helping hand to everybody. She is a Graduate of MAJU-KHI and has been always amongst the top students of her university, not only loving to study but make others get involved in collaborating to make a positive difference in lives. She works as the active coordinator and manager for the technology cafe these days.

She was the MSP (Microsoft Student partner) for MAJU for almost 3 years and has relevant industry experience from Just being a programmer to Software Developer and Evangelist.

Tanveer-Ul-Islam: TANO as we call him here, is one of the biggest “cheetah” or GURU of Java that we have seen. A graduate from FAST-KHI, he is a mid programmer, an entrepreneur and most of all an excellent car driver you could ever meet.

His skills are no doubt the best, from future thoughts to present on-spot implementations. Tanveer works as the technology coordinator here at the technology cafe.

He and Sam share a great background of friendship since 4 years and he has worked in great companies like IBM Pakistan to Wokforce Software, that is ranked amongst the Fortune 500 companies of the world ranging from an Intern to a Senior Software Developer.

Karim: KORMA as we call him, is the media coordinator here at the technology cafe. Despite he being a student has active skills in people management and negotiating skills. He is a student of MIT (Mehran Institute of Technology) and is a wonderful guy to be with. without him we could not have managed the technology cafe to be what it is after two years.

Syed Ali Aziz: Ali is a very great guy, and a techno maniac as well. He is currently doing his bachelors degree in computer sciences from FAST and is a very social person to be around with.
