Verizon sells hundred thousand Motorola DROID units at Launch

A stock market analyst, Mark McKechnie, estimated that Verizon stores had 200,000 units of the Motorola DROID on hand to sale at launch. He figures that the stores were able to sell half of its' stock which would indicate that Big Red sold 100,000 phones during the opening weekend. Earlier this morning I got an email from the founder of mobile advertising player AdMob, Omar Hamoui, giving us exciting news that Google,has acquired AdMob for $750million. Google now with it’s portfolio deep into mobile Operating Systems with Android and with successful launch of the Droid Phone, has sparked a successful deal to move forward with mobile space advertising.
