Exactly a year ago Google introduced the Video conferencing option in Gmail chat which gave users a great flexibility not only to chat but talk on Video for FREE via the Gmail Interface. But the limit was that only 1 to 1 Video Chats were allowed.

But today, Rishi Chandra (Google Apps product manager) said that Google will soon activate multi-user video conferencing. Now that’s awesome and all for FREE.

“This [current Gmail capability] is the first step in a much broader set of features we hope to roll out over the next six to 12 months around video [and voice] chat capabilities,” said Rishi Chandra, a Google Apps product manager. “It’s a great opportunity for us to push that space along.”

So I wonder how Video conferencing products like Web Ex now ill compete against the FREE price tag by Google.
