Earlier today we covered about the Google Chrome being demoed by Google with it being announced as an open source project for the rest of the world to build upon.

Now that Google has announced and released the source code we bring you exclusive pictures of the Google Chrome OS.

    Interesting thing to note, “User data synced to the cloud” implying that data will primarily be stored locally, thus no permanent link to Internet required…

      Yes that is rather a fact that only tech people can realize, but the more importantly what keeps me worried is that is relying on companies like Google, Microsoft etc to save your data on the cloud (I mean all of it) is good or not

        Agree, so good encryption becomes VERY important (see Dilbert yesterday).

          Not only encryption but dependency factor on such cloud servers, and who knows can we trust these companies not to use our data for marketing purposes, Google already dominates the ad space, with such content in its hands, you can imagine, I think laws of dependency should be chartered then this should be done widely…

            Sam, if data is also local (as well as cloud) then no dependency on Cloud. If data encryption is significantly difficult to break (for the cloud vendor) then they can’t get at the data/use it).
