MySpace the world’s second largest social network is trying to regain it’s number 1 position via updates and features it thinks can re-win back users from Facebook. Today I noticed within my MySpace account that now MySpace has launched a Web IM (Instant Messaging) feature found in Facebook within it’s own website giving the opportunity of users to interact with online friends without installing it’s Desktop IM client.
The feature was launched a month ago to the UK, but is now available globally.
A view of settings.
Overall the idea is good and also the look and feel especially the activeness and promptness of teh window being popped out for a chat is good. But overall the speed of IM load and message sending needs to be improved.
Do you think this feature will give MySpace some kind of boost in number of users?
