Safety First – Google Enhances “Safe Search” Feature…

Posted by Samir Saleem On November - 12 - 2009

SafeSearch, is pretty nifty a feature that lets you filter sexually explicit web sites and images from your search results protecting your toddlers from sites you don’t’ want them to visit. I have always liked it as it also helps me protected while at work if i have to find some images for blog posts.

Today Google launched an enhancement to the Safe Search feature that lets you lock your SafeSearch setting to the Strict level of filtering. When you lock SafeSearch, anybody wanting to change the filter level would need to enter your password to change the setting. Second, the Google search results page will be visibly different to indicate that SafeSearch is locked as shown above.

You can go to "Search Settings" page on Google to set the filter option.

We have got cool video also demoing the new feature…
