When searching for images mostly all of us, look for something we have in mind or have previously seen somewhere. We often look for similar images representing similar things as per required, but at the moment searching similar images via normal search engines is a painful ask.
And just for that Gazopa
, beta has launched today. Gazopa is a search engine that uses features from an image to retrieve similar images. You can now upload existing images of your sketches etc or even enter a URL of an image, create a drawing or right-click on an image anywhere on the web (via a plug-in) and fetch similar images.
What i liked about Gazopa was the FREE Gazopa iPhone app, which helps you search similar images immediately after you snap the image from your iPhone cam via the web. There is also the Gazopa Drawing Facebook application.
Now without actually typing words to search but images to search for images. The algorithms are pretty cool are match the images pattern, color layouts etc to get you the right contextual image of resemblance.
