Recently Microsoft released the Beta 1 bits of its Visual Studio 2010 to the public. After the huge success of Visual Studio 2008, Microsoft is looking for completely taking over the developers habits of using Visual Studio as the ultimate IDE now that it has added support for open source language such as Php into Visual Studio 20101.
Along with the professional version now you would be able to even test the Team Suite, Team Foundation Server and the highly anticipated .Net Framework 4. A list of what’s new in the 2010 release is on Microsoft’s MSDN Web site.
Microsoft is also introducing F# concurrent programming language in VS2010 and a foundation to do parallel development, and best of all including it’s big bets with better support for Silverlight and the Windows Presentation Foundation.

After downloading my version of the professional suite, I think VS 2010 rocks and if Microsoft adds more support for open source languages, it can definitely improve the consolidated programming lives for developers.
