As we cover the event of Windows 7 launch today, we would like to tell you that, just yesterday Microsoft inked a deal with Twitter and facebook, with its Bing search engine. The deal now incorporates tweets and facebook status updates from public profiles and thus makes the search engine battle more fierce between Google and Microsoft.

Today at the  Web 2.0 Bing announced that working with those clever birds over at Twitter, they now have access to the entire public Twitter feed and have a beta of Bing Twitter search for you to play with (in the US, for now). Try it out.

Update:

Marissa Mayer, the Vice President of Search Product and User Experience at Google, unveiled a new product called “Social Search” today at Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco.

This was preceded by the announcement that a deal has been reached between Twitter and Google. Flaring the competition, Bing has done the same thing with Twitter.

Mayer announced that “Social Search” will be launched soon by Google labs. It will use your Google profile. You will be able to fill about the other social network you are member of and after scanning your contacts it will allow you to see the results of queries from people belonging to your social network. The results could be the local information or image searches.

According to Meyer, it is in trial for now but it will be launched in few weeks.

 

But clearly this battle is won by Microsoft Bing and nothing sweeter that a smart OS, with smart Social Search , The perfect win for Microsoft…
